Our Co-Founders
Kok Hin is a co-founder of Closing The Gap. Kok Hin holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Melbourne. Prior to founding Closing The Gap, Kok Hin was a Teach For Malaysia Fellow, where he taught English in SMK Pendamaran Jaya. Formerly with Southern Capital Group, he is currently the Head of Monetisation in SEEK.
Cheah Kok Hin
Brian graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Masters degree in Mathematics. He spent 5 years in Teach For Malaysia, first working as a Mathematics teacher in a secondary school, and later leading impact measurement in Teach For Malaysia. He is a co-founder of Closing The Gap. He currently works as a consultant at McKinsey and Company.
Brian Geh
Connie graduated from the University of Melbourne with a double degree, majoring in English Literature and Political Science. She joined Teach For Malaysia and taught English for two years in a public secondary school. Her experiences in school eventually led to the founding of Closing The Gap, where she managed the programme for two years. Connie is working as an operations lead in the start-up Forkast.News.
Connie Foong
Prior to co-founding Closing The Gap, Ida worked in and led the Alumni Impact team of Teach For Malaysia, where her primary responsibility was to build a movement of Alumni leaders. Ida graduated with an LLB (Laws) from University College London (UCL), United Kingdom. Currently, Ida is the CEO of Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman. Click here to find out more about our story.
Ida Thien
